Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as a Team Lead for a new UK based Salesforce development team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a cross-functional team of talented software developers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions using lean and agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a deep understanding of lean and agile principles, and excellent leadership and communication skills. This is a key role for the company, and you will also play an active part in hiring and building your team.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a cross-functional team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and creativity.

Agile Methodology:

  • Champion and implement lean and agile principles within the team to optimize productivity, responsiveness and the flow of work through the team.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure a clear and prioritized product backlog.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing challenges to keep delivery on track.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, seeking opportunities to enhance processes and workflows.
  • Monitor and measure team performance, implementing changes as necessary to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical Excellence:

  • You and your team will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform. The team lead role will provide overall technical leadership and mentorship to the rest of the team.
  • You will live and breathe the Salesforce platform and demonstrate a passion for staying current with emerging Salesforce technologies.
  • You will be passionate about Code Quality and Software Craftsmanship, ensuring the software delivered by your team provides rock solid quality, exceptional user experience, scalability and performance.

Skills required

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a software developer, with a strong understanding of software development life cycle.
  • Previous experience in an Agile Team Lead role.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean and agile methodologies, with certifications such as Scrum Master or SAFe being a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Work Location: Home Based / Remote and requirement for frequent face to face meetings with colleagues (Bristol, Basingstoke or other appropriate locations)
Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer
